Bank manager recites few drama lines to Chief Minister on flight

CHENNAI: Securing the state Chief Minister’s appointment is no easy task. More difficult, managing to recite a few lines to the CM in person. One must consider herself really lucky if she manages to do both. Kousalya, a manager of a private bank, was the fortunate one who just did that and that too on board a flight.

Travelling in the same flight with the Chief Minister, who was on his way to Thiruvanathapuram from Chennai to launch Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo yatra, Kousalaya approached the CM and recited a few lines from an old drama she had performed around three decades ago.

The video of her reciting to Stalin in classical Tamil went viral on social media. Even the DMK PR managers were sharing the video liberally among the media circles. Interaction with the DMK insiders revealed that she had delivered the same lines three decades ago in Thousand Lights, ostensibly, in the presence of CM Stalin then. A visibly happy Stalin was seen congratulating the bank manager after the recital. The Chief Minister has a long history of performing on stage in the 1980s.
