Watch: CISF personnel save life of passenger at Chennai airport

CHENNAI: Timely intervention by CISF (Central Industrial Security Force) personnel at the Chennai domestic airport helped save an elderly man’s life on Sunday.
Airport sources said that the passenger, identified as Sekar Hasra (69) had arrived at Chennai from Nagpur during the early hours of Sunday.
On arrival, Sekar who was walking outside, swooned suddenly.

CISF personnel on security detail, Inspector Edwin Sam and Assistant Sub Inspector, K Vaikuntam, who noticed the elderly man falling unconscious immediately gave him CPR (cardio pulmonary resuscitation) until a medical team reached the scene.
The elderly man was then moved to a medical centre in the airport and then shifted to a city hospital, where he is said to be in a stable condition.
The elderly man was already suffering from a health complication. CISF DIG, KVK Sriram appreciated the efforts of the personnel for their timely intervention.
