TIRUVALLUR: Security has been stepped up in Tiruvallur following the state government’s decision to ban RSS route march that was to be taken across the state on October 2.

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh had plans of conducting a procession across Tamil Nadu on Sunday. However, the state government has denied permission to organise the procession. As a preemptive measure, security has been enhanced across the district to avoid untoward incidents.

More than 100 police personnel from the superintendent’s office have been deployed across various parts of Tiruvallur and police have erected barricades in areas of major gatherings.
