CHENNAI: In the latest development in the St. Thomas Mount railway station murder case, a suicide angle has cropped up in the death of victim Sathya's father Manickam.

However, the veracity of the suicide angle is yet to be independently verified by DT Next. According to Daily Thanthi reports, Manickam is said to have consumed liquor after spiking it late on Thursday. It is still widely believed he died due to a heart attack. "Initial medical report talked about heart attack. But later there was report that he had consumed some harmful chemicals. Post mortem report may reveal the real reason," said a senior officer.

Six years after the horrific death of Swathi at the Nungambakkam railway station, the murder of a college student Sathya (20) by Sathish (31) has numbed senses.
