MUMBAI: Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt is getting ready for her upcoming film “Love and War,” directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

On Thursday, Alia was spotted outside Bhansali’s office in Versova, Mumbai, wearing a bright yellow shirt paired with jeans as she waved to the waiting photographers.

Last month, it was announced that the epic saga, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal, is set to release on March 20, 2026. The release date coincides with major festivals, including Ramzan, Ram Navmi, and Gudi Padwa, making it a prime time for a big-screen release.

The film is described as a love story about a couple who must part ways due to familial obligations. Bhansali’s recent work includes the period drama series "Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar," which explores the lives of tawaifs in Lahore during the Indian independence movement. The series stars notable actors such as Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Sharmin Segal Mehta, and Taha Shah Badussha.

This marks the second collaboration between Alia and her husband Ranbir, following their appearance together in the 2022 action-adventure film "Brahmastra: Part One - Shiva." Alia was last seen in the romantic comedy "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani," directed by Karan Johar, alongside Ranveer Singh. She also has projects like "Jigra" and "Alpha" lined up.

Vicky Kaushal’s latest release was “Bad Newz,” and he will next star in “Chhaava,” a historical epic based on the life of Maratha Chhatrapati Sambhaji, directed by Laxman Utekar. Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor is enjoying the success of his film “Animal” and will appear next in “Ramayana” alongside Sai Pallavi.
