Monkeys among discarded PPEs trigger virus scare
A video showing monkeys rummaging for food through PPE kits and bio-medical waste discarded in the open at a COVID care centre in The Nilgiris has gone viral.
The incident has triggered alarm bells on potential risk of the virus spreading through improper disposal of kits and bio-medical waste. There are 80 asymptomatic patients at the centre
- After the video started doing the rounds, staff fumigated the premises and removed the bio-medical wasteÂ
