Celebration of Belgian culture
The lovely aroma of waffles, chocolates and other delicious goodies being prepared at the venue welcomed guests at The King’s Day celebrations of Belgium. It was a glitzy event hosted by the Consulate General of Belgium in Chennai at the Taj Coromandel.

The King’s Day is held every year in honour of the Belgian monarch and the royal family. Models in black gowns walked down the ramp in minimal accessories for a fashion show.
Consul General Bart De Groof stressed on the importance of maintaining good bilateral ties upon being asked to speak on the special day. The guest list included expats, socialites and diplomats. The four essentials of Belgian culture — waffles, chocolates, beer and diamonds were in abundance at the event.
