Surya-Hari film titled 'Aruvaa', set for Diwali release

Actor Surya's 39th film which was tentatively named Surya-39, has been titled 'Aruvaa' (translation: Billhook). And the team has eyed Diwali release.

Surya and Hari have already proven their combination worth with hits like Vel and Singam franchise.

'Aruvaa' is the sixth film the duo are teaming up after Aaru, Vel, Singam 1, 2 and 3. In the case of Diwali release, Surya has to lock horns with Ajith Kumar whose second movie 'Valimai' with H Vinoth too is slated for the festival.

Another point to note is that Surya-40's update came earlier than his 39th project, the actor's 40 is with Vettrimaaran whose vision and execution has always reaped dividends.

'Aruvaa' is bankrolled by Studio Green, music is crooned by D Imman. The production house released a statement on its twitter handle which states that the film's shoot will commence from April and will end with one straight schedule and have a grand Diwali release.

As veteran Superstar Rajinikanth 'Annatthe' moves out of the Diwali race, the two-pronged Diwali clash will get fascinating. No surprise as we know Surya and Hari combinations are rich in its commercial packaging and racy screenplay, Valimai which too is touted to be an out and out commercial movie but with a new combination (with a fresh script, exclude Nerkonda Paarvai). The bars are set high and what ensues is a high-octane Diwali clash, which movie gets the better of the another is for time to tell. But rest assured, Kollywood box-office will dig golden eggs.
