New Look of Arvind Swami From Kangana Ranaut’s 'Thalaivi' Revealed
On the death anniversary of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MG Ramachandran, the makers of the upcoming film Thalaivi have revealed the new look of Arvind Swami who is reprising the late CM's role.

While Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut plays the lead role in the upcoming film which is inspired by the life of late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, Kollywood actor Arvind Swami will be reprising the role of the late Chief Minister MG Ramachandran, fondly called as MGR. He is considered as a political mentor of Jayalalitha and is the one who paved way for Jayalalitha's political career.
Earlier it was said that Kangana had to put on 20 kilos to essay Jayalalithaa in the film, and her weight loss journey hasn't been a cakewalk. The actress recently revealed that gaining weight for the role and practicing Bharatnatyam has left her back severely damaged, adding that she is struggling to lose the extra kilos.
Thalaivi is a bilingual biopic of late Jayalalithaa which will be released in Hindi and Tamil. The movie also stars Prakash Raj, Madhoo and Bhagyashree in prominent roles. Directed by AL Vijay, the film is produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri & Shaailesh R Singh, co-produced by Hitesh Thakkar & Thirumal Reddy.
