Kangana refutes rumours of Thalaivi OTT release
Kangana’s Thalaivi was initially scheduled to release on April 23. However, due to rising COVID cases the makers had postponed the theatrical release indefinitely. The latest buzz was that Thalaivi will premiere on OTT platform and has opted out of theatrical release.

Kangana Ranaut instantly took to social media and quashed the rumours. “Announcement – Thalaivi digital rights are with Amazon (Tamil) and Netflix (Hindi) none of them can individually stream the movie before theatres release, all the fake propaganda movie mafia doing please ignore. Thalaivi deserves a theatrical release and makers are determined. Strict actions will be taken against any bikau media spreading fake propaganda. Jayalalithaa’s biopic the film is helmed by AL Vijay and is produced by Vibri Media in collaboration with Karma Media And Entertainment. The film will be released in three languages Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. It also stars Arvind Swami, Madhubala, Samuthirakani and Thambi Ramaiah in important roles. GV Prakash has composed the music.
