COVID-19: 19 more cases in Andhra, total 502
Eight new cases came to light in West Godavari district, 6 in Kurnool, 4 in Guntur district, and 1 in Krishna district.
As many as 19 more coronavirus cases were reported in Andhra Pradesh, taking its total such cases on Wednesday morning to 502.
The state nodal officer for CoVID-19 said that more cases were detected after tests conducted between 5 pm on Tuesday and 9 am on Wednesday.
Eight new cases came to light in West Godavari district, 6 in Kurnool, 4 in Guntur district, and 1 in Krishna district.
The active cases in the southern state total 475, with 16 persons cured and discharged so far. The death toll is 11, including 3 in Krishna district, 2 in Anantapur, 2 in Guntur and 1 each in Kurnool and Nellore districts.
Guntur district has the highest 118 positive cases in the state, followed by Kurnool with 97, and Nellore with 67 cases.
Meanwhile, the state government has made arrangements for providing vaccinations for young children and pregnant women.
