CHENNAI: Air India has introduced flight services from Chennai to Jammu and Kashmir to enhance tourists' travel convenience.
According to reports, the newly launched flight service would require a layover at New Delhi but allows passengers to book a single ticket from Chennai to either Jammu or Srinagar.
From Chennai to Jammu, an Air India flight will depart from Chennai at 6.00 am, reaching Delhi at 8.50 am. From Delhi, an Air India Express flight will depart at 10.30 am, arriving in Jammu at 12.05 pm.
On the return journey, an Air India Express flight from Jammu will depart at 3.45 pm, reaching Delhi at 5.15 pm. From Delhi, an Air India flight will take off at 8.00 pm, arriving in Chennai at 10.50 pm.
From Chennai to Srinagar, the flight will depart from Chennai at 6.00 am, reaching Delhi at 8.50 am. Then, an Air India flight will depart from Delhi at 10.15 am, reaching Srinagar at 11.50 am.
On the return journey, the flight from Srinagar will depart at 1.45 pm, reaching Delhi at 3.35 pm. From Delhi, an Air India flight will depart at 5.25 pm, arriving in Chennai at 8.20 pm.
According to Air India officials, passenger baggage checked in at Chennai will be directly transferred to the final destination without requiring re-checking at New Delhi.
