    CHENNAI: India is hosting the 18th G20 summit. The Summit's key agenda would be cryptocurrency, trading, financial ties, sustainable developmental goals, MDB reforms and gender equality among others.

    India will hold bilateral meetings with UK, Japan, Germany and Italy. PM Modi already met his Mauritian and Bangladesh counterparts on Friday.

      On being asked about Cryptocurrency, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman says, " The FSP's report has concentrated more on regulation and IMF has looked at the macroeconomic implications. So, G 20 members will go through the synthesis paper in detail, there is one more meeting under our presidency for the finance track in Marrakesh...there the FSP and IMF reports will be discussed. So it is up to G 20 membership to take a call on how it wants to move forward on it (Crypto)..."

      Delhi: Mentioning the key achievements of the Indian Presidency in the finance track on Multilateral Development Banks (MDB), Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman says, "Fourth, endorsement for the G 20 roadmap for implementation of the recommendations of an independent panel on capital adequacy framework of the MDBs. So the Capital Adequacy Frameworks (CAF) recommendations are focused on enabling MDBs to use the existing resources effectively... The roadmap estimates that implementation of the CAF and the measures thereby will potentially yield additional lending headroom of approximately 200 billion USD over the next decade... So through these achievements, India has harnessed the opportunity provided by the G 20 presidency to effectively articulate and embed the priorities of the global south in the larger global conversation on the MDB reforms."
