CHENNAI: Stating that the Chief Minister M K Stalin-led Tamil Nadu government is busy holding review meetings instead of getting into the act to rescue and rehabilitate the affected people in districts, which have been witnessing heavy downpour in the last few days, Leader of Opposition Edappadi K Palaniswami condemned the state government for focusing only on Chennai and ignored the rest of the state.

He also charged that the CM is taking extra effort to give prominence to his son and the deputy CM Udhayanidhi Stalin in the administration and sidelining the senior ministers.

The inaction of Stalin's government in carrying out rescue and rehabilitation works in Coimbatore, Tirupur, Pudukottai, Salem and several other districts, which have been witnessing heavy rainfall in the last couple of days.

Charging that the CM is trying to project his son and sidelining the rest of the cabinet ministers, who were remaining mute spectators, Palaniswami demanded the CM engage the ministers of key departments such as revenue and disaster management and health, electricity, and municipal administration in the flood mitigation and rehabilitation works to ensure the safety and security of the people.
