    CHENNAI: Passengers on board Mysuru - Darbanga Express (train no 12578) had a close shave on Friday night after the train rammed into a stationary goods train on the loop line at Kavarapettai station near Tiruvallur.

    Dilip Kumar, Executive Director, Information and Publicity of the Railway Board, said in a video message: "More than 95 per cent passengers have been evacuated from the affected coaches and so far we haven't received any information about any casualty or grievous injury."

    Passengers are being moved by EMU trains to Chennai Central, and a fresh train has been readied at Chennai to take them further to Darbhanga/other destinations, he said.
