CHENNAI: Following the demise of Bangaru Adigalar, the founder and spiritual leader of Adhiparasakthi Siddhar Peedam, politicians from various parties paid visit to Bangaru Adigalar's residence in Melmaruvathur to offer their condolences to the bereaved family.
"In a time when women were often excluded from participating in religious activities during menstruation period, Adikalar championed their right to perform pooja at any time inside the temple sanctuary, " emphasized VCK leader Thirumavalavan.

BJP leader K Annamalai met with the wife of Bangaru Adigalar and presented a condolence letter on behalf of the Prime Minister.
Narendra Modi, recognizing Bangaru Adikalar's dedicated service, had conferred upon him the Padma Shri award. The Prime Minister also expressed his condolences through a letter, which has been delivered to the grieving family, said Annamalai.
Naam Tamilar Party leader Seeman also conveyed his condolences at the memorial of Bangaru Adigalar.
