CHENNAI: Day 6 of the Paris Olympics 2024 and it was once again the Indian shooters who shine with Swapnil Kusale winning bronze in the men’s 50m rifle 3 position. He handed India its third overall medal and its first medal in Rifle 3P events

Indian archer Pravin Jadhav lost in three sets against China's Wenchao Kao (0 - 6)

The athletics event began today, but none of the Indian players managed to sneak into top 20 in both men and women’s 20km race walk.

Things went from bad to worse for India as the Indian Hockey team suffered its first loss of the ongoing Olympics at the hands of defending champion Belgium. India will be in action once again on Friday in its last group stage Pool B match.

Nikhat Zareen put up a fight but wasn't good enough to get past Chinese world number Wu Yu in the round of 16 women's flyweight bout.

As the evening went by, Indian fans were in for a shocker with top-ranked duo of Satwik Sairajreddy and Chirag Shetty went down in the quarter-final against Malaysian duo of Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik.

India closed its day with the golden girl of Indian badminton PV Sindhu getting schooled by China's Jiao in straight sets (19-21, 14-21).

The only thing that Indian fans can look forward to in terms of Badminton would be Lakshya Sen in action against Chinese Taipei's Tien Chou on Friday.

Sailors Vishnu Saravanan and Nethra Kumanan had their dinghy events postponed due to weather playing spoilsport.

Vishnu finished day one after race two which sees him placed at the bottom at 34th position, Nethra had a good start and is currently placed at 6th spot after race one.
