Life’s lessons: Your weakness could be your strength
A 10-year-old boy decided to learn judo, but the sad fact was that he lost his left arm in an accident. Not losing hope, he began to take lessons from a judo master.

Although he felt that he was progressing in his stunts, the boy did not understand why his master did not teach him new moves but insisted him to practise only a single move. After three months of training, the little boy mustered up courage and asked his teacher, “Sensei, shouldn’t I be learning more moves?”. The sensei, however, said, “This is the only move you know, but this is the only move you’ll ever need to know.” Not quite understanding, but believing in his teacher, the boy kept training. One day, the sensei took him to his first tournament and surprising himself, the boy easily won all the matches and reached the finals. In the final tournament, the boy’s opponent was taller and stronger than him. The little boy tried with all his might to take him down, but couldn’t. As the match progressed, the opponent dropped his guard suddenly, resulting in the little boy winning the finals. On the way back home, the boy asked, “Sensei, how did I win the tournament with only one move?” The sensei said, “You won for two reasons. First, you have mastered one of the most difficult throws in all of judo and second, in order to defeat you in that move, your opponent has to grab your left arm.” The boy’s biggest weakness became his biggest strength.
