Chennai
With all expertise in technology, healthcare and research at present, it is certain that the world is living in an uncertain situation. Considering the economic situation, we are making efforts to curtail the lockdown despite the growing number of cases.
We have a responsibility to play. When our society is going through a common problem, this is the way one has to approach life. Let me tell you about the three responsibilities that we need to play:
- Social responsibility
- Collective responsibility
- Individual responsibility
Preventing yourself or taking precautionary measures to avoid the spread of coronavirus, itself plays all three responsibilities. Social responsibility means you should never be the source of the problem to society. Collective responsibility means you should involve in an action that will bring or recover the loss that has happened to the collective humanity. One has to maintain individual responsibility until the last moment of his breath.
One day or the other everything has to come to normal. But till then, observing and understanding reality helps us to work towards achieving the real solution for any problem. This article will help you know what we need to do to prevent ourselves from corona in two aspects - physically and mentally.
There is a clear scientific data that says this is a respiratory virus. As per Ayurveda (based on ancient medicine), the entire body is an integrated, inter-related system. When your intestine or the gut area is having the fullest strength, it will supply all the energy to the lungs to fight the virus that is affecting the lungs. So simple home remedies (to keep your immune system at the higher level) can be practiced along with social distancing and other guidelines put forth by WHO.
Make sure to have a gap of 12 to 13 hours between your dinner and breakfast. Today, the food cycle keeps varying from person to person. Once you keep a check on your food consumption cycle, the above-mentioned gap gives the body enough time to crush the previously accumulated toxins so that it’s ready to receive and distribute the energy and further have full capacity for digestion which is one important factor for improving the immunity. For any food we consume, our intestine functions in a way which is accumulation and elimination of toxins, assimilation and distribution of energy. When this happens to the fullest, the process of digestion, urination and defecation happens in the right cycle; which means your body is maintained at the highest zone of immunity.
- Make sure you consume one litre of lukewarm turmeric water every day. You don’t need to take it in one shot. Daily, consume it at regular intervals based on your comfort.
- Make sure you consume one litre of jeera water. Jeera (or cumin seeds) helps in purifying the internal system.
- Just make sure your intestine is fully prepared every day to supply energy to the lungs so that it functions to its fullest and fight against the virus. After all, prevention is better than cure. Despite knowing that this virus is not deadly, we should still take all preventive measures not to get affected by it so that we don’t spread it to others.
Next is a power drink for lungs. This not only prevents you from coronavirus but maintains the respiratory function of the lungs to the fullest. The ingredients of this power drink are ginger, pepper, lime and honey. The quantity of ginger and pepper should be in the ratio of 1:1 and lime and honey can be according to each one’s preference. This has to be consumed with hot water, not with milk. It is best when you have this power drink twice a day with a gap of 6-7 hours in between.
This is an internal preparation for your system to fight even if you are exposed to the virus and to make sure you are taking maximum preventive measures. There are other innumerable health benefits of strengthening the heart, lungs and intestine with these four simple home remedies.
Coming to mental preparation, fear and anger will destroy the immunity immediately and instantly. Sometimes people have the ability and wisdom to come out of fear by understanding the situation but anger is something that has to be accepted. Just because we don’t express it, it doesn’t mean we don’t have it. When things are not happening as per our expectations, it’s natural for us to feel upset or left out or angry. Tell yourself that there is nothing wrong with getting angry but you need to learn to come out of that anger. Whether you express it or not, three damages are inevitable when you get angry. It disturbs the cardiac rhythm, It will change your bio-chemicals which will disturb the brain chemistry and create an imbalance in the body. Your ability to judge the situation will be lost.
Therefore, this is the time one needs to take an effort to be away from anger as anger has a lot of negative effects on our body. During this pandemic, we must stay calm and tell our-self that no matter what the situation is, everything is going to be great at the end. This is the truth. So follow the simple and powerful home remedies along with the other government guidelines to keep you away not only from coronavirus but also from various other illnesses. Always remember with the right effort and preventive measures, you can overcome any situation.
