Pakistan refrained from Kabaddi World Cup: IKF chief
Amidst tensions between India and Pakistan, the International Kabaddi Federation has debarred the latter from the Kabaddi World Cup beginning on October 7 at Ahmedabad.

International Kabaddi Federation (IKF) chief Deoraj Chaturvedi said Pakistan has been denied entry because of current tensions between the two countries.Â
''At this moment, it is not feasible to play with Pakistan. Though Pakistan is a key member of IKF but in the best interest of both countries, we have finally decided that they must be refrained from the tournament," Â Chaturvedi said in a statement.
Apart from India, the 10-nation Kabaddi World Cup kicks off in Ahmedabad on Friday.Â
The other participating nations are the United States, Canada, the UK, Australia, Iran, Poland, Bangladesh, Korea, Japan and Kenya.Â
