Vimal puts TN in driving seat
R Vimal Khumar’s (122) century put Tamil Nadu in the driving seat against Saurashtra, at the end of second day’s play in the Cooch Behar Trophy Under-19 four-day contest in Rajkot on Saturday.

Continuing on its overnight score of 43 without loss in the Elite C match, Tamil Nadu piled on the runs, with each of its four batters scoring at least a half-century. Opener Vimal was the best of the lot, making 122 runs. His 204-ball knock was studded with 20 boundaries. At stumps, Tamil Nadu was 330 for two, boasting of a 158-run lead with eight wickets in hand.
