Three in a row for Thiruvallur
Thiruvallur won the TNCA Inter-Districts Under-19 Tournament for a third time in a row by defeating Kancheepuram in the 2019-20 final held at the Magna – Puratham Cricket Ground here recently.

Thiruvallur, which had also finished first in 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons, beat Kancheepuram by 80 runs in the summit clash, which was a three-day affair. R Raja Guru (106) and R Raja Giri (5/42) were the chief contributors in the second innings for victor Thiruvallur, which had a deficit of 50 runs after the opening exchanges.
Vignesh S Iyer (218) smashed a double-century in the first innings for Kancheepuram that suffered a batting collapse, in the final innings, on the last day.
