‘No crowds, a challenge for seniors in IPL’: RCB head coach Simon Katich
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) head coach Simon Katich opined that empty stadiums in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 could well be a challenge for the senior players, but added that the youngsters could feel less pressure.

The 13th edition of the eight-team league, which begins on September 19, will be held in a bio-secure environment behind closed doors -- at least the first phase – in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), in wake of the raging COVID-19 pandemic.
“I think that some of the younger players will actually enjoy the fact that there will be a little less amount of pressure. There won’t be much noise and distraction as there will be only less people at the ground,” Katich said during RCB’s YouTube show ‘Bold Diaries’.
“It will be more of a challenge for some of the older guys that are used to the buzz of the crowds. However, there will be a lot of motivation within our squad to go out and perform well,” added the former Australia cricketer. Katich, 45, also said that the younger players could make a real impact in this year’s tournament.
