Chennai Super Kings Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni presented his 200th IPL jersey to Rajasthan Royals's Jos Butler after their clash in the Indian Premier League 2020 in Abu Dhabi on Monday.
Dhoni who was the captain of the same franchise since the dawn of the League in 2008, became the first person to play 200 matches in the IPL. In his 200th match, CSK lost to RR by 7 wickets. Jos Buttler (70) smashed a fifty with Steve Smith (26) alongside and took Rajasthan Royals to victory with two overs still remaining in the innings.
Jos Buttler was a huge fan of the former Indian captain and was left with pure bliss after he was presented with the jersey. Indian Premier League took to their Twitter profile to post the picture of the happy fan with the caption,' Buttler all smiles with prized possession'.
Earlier, during the toss when asked if he was proud and excited to play the 200th game, Dhoni gave the humblest reply,'You just spoke about and that's how I got to know it was 200 games'. He further said that he was fortunate to play this long without many injuries.
Dhoni also has 100 IPL wins and won three Championships for CSK as a captain.
