But, Suryakumar, who was overlooked for the India tour of Australia, made a statement to the national team captain with an unbeaten knock. At the end, his effort helped Mumbai seal a five-wicket win over Bangalore. His knock, which included 10 fours and three maximums, earned the praise of India team head coach Ravi Shastri, who wrote on Twitter: “Surya namaskar. Stay strong and patient @surya_14kumar #MIvsRCB”
