Usha was pregnant, says hubby
Deceased pillion rider Usha’s husband, who was called for an inquiry with the State Human Rights Commission here on Wednesday, said his wife was pregnant and that it was confirmed on the day of her death, but the police have been claiming otherwise since the incident.

It also reflected in her post-mortem, Usha’s husband D Raja claimed. He also sought a re-autopsy as the earlier one was not conducted as per norms and wanted the case to be transferred to the CBI.
From the beginning, the police have been saying that my wife was not pregnant even before the autopsy so as to dilute the issue. We had tested and confirmed her pregnancy on March 7 and planned to visit the doctor. Raja added he had not signed any document for post-mortem or accepted her body.
