Speculations rife as DMK working prez, Dhivakaran meet
A ‘chance’ meeting of DMK working president MK Stalin and Anna Dravidar Kazhagam general secretary and VK Sasikala’s brother V Dhivakaran at a marriage function in Thanjavur on Monday set many an expectation and speculation among party workers.

Dhivakaran arrived at the wedding of MLA Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi’s family while Stalin was addressing the gathering. After Stalin finished his speech and preparing to leave the hall, he exchanged pleasantries with Dhivakaran, who was waiting in the VIP row.
The warm meeting between the two became the talk of the Central districts as Dhivakaran enjoys a strong base in Thanjavur and Tiruvarur districts despite the split with his nephew TTV Dhinakaran. It has instilled hope among the DMK cadre, who has been planning strategies for the upcoming elections, including the Lok Sabha polls.
Latter talking to reporters Dhivakaran said that they did not discuss politics during the talk. He also questioned the hurry shown by Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami to execute the Salem-Chennai Green Corridor Project. He also urged the government to organise a public hearing on the issue. “I have written a letter to the Chief Minister in this regard and urged him to execute the expressway in an alternate route without affecting farm lands,” said Dhivakaran.
