Special officer for Ranipet ‘district’ takes charge

The new districts, which were to be carved out of Vellore, were announced by Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on August 15.

Divyadarshini told the media that she would undertake works like identifying temporary premise for collector’s office and marking boundary for the Ranipet district. Locals feel that the proposed location for the collector’s office might be in the outskirts of the town due to lack of space. Sivan Arul is expected to arrive in Tirupattur on Wednesday.
