Vet doctors to be posted at abattoirs

Sources said, there were wide complaints that the sick animals have been slaughtered to distribute for the sales to the public which would land them into serious illness. The public had raised the concerns to the Commissioner and urged him to initiate proper action which would rescue the people from a serious illness.

Meanwhile, Sivasubramanian reportedly convened a meeting with the officials in which the officials have come out with an idea of appointing the veterinary doctors at the slaughter houses.

Accordingly, the civic body had made the announcement of appointing doctors to check the condition of the animals. The civic body sought the candidates to send application till December 18 by 5 pm and the selected candidates would have to work immediately.
