Don’t fall prey to fraudsters for jobs in Tangedco: Minister
The State Minister for Electricity P Thangamani cautioned the youth here on Saturday not to fall prey to fraudsters who lure them with false promises of jobs in Tangedco and stressed that the vacancies were filled purely based on the merits in tests conducted for the respective posts.

Speaking to the reporters during the sidelines of a private function in Pudukkottai, the Minister said that around 5,000 vacancies are being filled in the Tangedco, based only on merits.
The filling up of the vacancies for the gang men in the department are being undertaken based on the merits. After the physical test, the candidates would undergo a written test. “Only after these tests, the appointment orders would be issued based on the candidate’s merits. So don’t fall prey to any fraudulent and lose your money,” he cautioned the aspirants. He added that the entire appointment process is transparent and the meritorious candidates would get appointment. He also appealed that candidates who have had such experience to complain to the officials and individuals involved in collecting money would be seriously dealt with, he warned.
Meanwhile, the Minister refused the charges of unwanted delay in power distribution to the farmers who have applied through Tatkal system. “Miscreants have been spreading false propaganda against the government. We distribute power supply at once after the applicants submit their Tatkal forms,” he said, adding that there is no pending for those who applied through the scheme.
