DIG inspects arrangements in Big Temple

The DIG also held discussions with the temple administration on the arrangements made for the VIP pathway, parking facilities and other security aspects. Speaking to reporters after the inspection, the DIG J Loganathan said, the police had initially inspected the pathway arranged for the VIPs and the devotees. “We have also been inspecting the venue from where the people will wait for the dharsan. Since witnessing the temple gopuram is also important, the devotees may stay outside and worship. We should also chart out plans to provide security to all the devotees,” he said. Earlier the DIG inspected the yaga salai arrangements and the other pooja venues and discussed about thesecurity arrangements.
