HC summons, notices to be sent online
Summons and notices would soon be sent electronically to litigants to avoid delays, said Madras High Court Chief Justice A P Sahi, while noting that a communication system that would connect to the people would be in place at the high court.

Inaugurating Justice Clock, Solar Panels and Audio jingles at the Madras High Court through a video conferencing from the Madurai Bench on Monday, the Chief Justice said that across the country nearly 30 per cent of criminal matters remain pending owing to summons not reaching the litigants.
Based on this, it has been decided to issue summons electronically at the full court meeting held to frame rules for the high court, he said.
