Governor petitioned to sack Bhalaji for Muslim terror talk
The opposition DMK led by its Chepauk-Triplicane MLA J Anbalagan on Monday petitioned Governor Banwarilal Purohit to drop state Dairy Minister KT Rajenthra Bhalaji from the Cabinet.

“Rajenthra Bhalaji, from the AIADMK, has made an illegal, unconstitutional, scandalous, irresponsible and divisive speech while giving an interview to a Tamil television channel.
It is not only contrary to Constitutional principles, morality and law but also a breach of oath of office sworn by him,” read the petition written by DMK treasurer Duraimurugan.
The DMK also urged the Governor to exercise his power under Article 164 (1) of Indian Constitution and demand the resignation of Rajenthra Bhalaji and to dismiss him from the Cabinet for breach of oath of office.
Recently, Rajenthra Bhalaji made a controversial statement in an interview to a private Tamil news channel on Muslims linking the entire community with terrorism. He also warned that Hindu terrorism will be inevitable if Hindus are continued to be murdered by Muslims.
His comments stirred a huge controversy as opposition parties condemned Rajenthra Bhalaji and demanded action against him. After Stalin’s tweets on the issue, the party has now taken the issue to the Governor.
Similarly, Tamil Nadu Muslim League (TNML) demanded the state government to drop Rajenthra Bhalaji from the Cabinet. “Rajenthra Bhalaji is continuously involved in spewing venom against Muslims and his comments are targeted at disturbing communal harmony in the state.
A Minister is common for everyone, but he is instigating violence against Muslims,” said VMS Mustafa, founding president of the TNML.
