Principal opposition party leader and DMK president MK Stalin on Friday demanded immediate arrest all the persons, who were involved in Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) Group IV and Group 2 A exams and said the government should not protect any “high-level” persons, who were involved in the malpractices.

“Whoever it is, those involved in this mega scam will be coming under the law. Therefore, all of them should be brought before it,” he said in a statement.

Demanding that the AIADMK government should recall and bring all the previous malpractices in TNPSC to the limelight, Stalin said the state government should produce all the details of the investigation done by Central Crime Branch (CCB) in 2017 to the High Court for further probe.

Alleging that the state government is protecting certain “influenced” persons close to AIADMK, who might have involved in the TNPSC exam malpractices, the DMK leader said, “the government is also posing as if the probe is in the right direction.”

Stating that Fisheries Minister D Jayakumar should come out with the truth and disclose the names, who were involved in the scam, Stalin claimed “now, the actual investigation should begin from the Group-1 exam, which was held in 2016.”

The DMK leader also claimed that the investigation, that started in 2016 in connection with Group 1 exam, was stopped since several police officials, who worked on the probe team, have been transferred.

“Inspector Senguttuvan, who investigated the case, also submitted a report in the court that of the 74 candidates passed in Group 1 exam, as many as 62 were from same exam centers,” he said.

“It is disturbing to note that we are receiving new information on a daily basis from various media about the TNPSC recruitment,” the DMK leader said adding “at the same time, the ruling government should act fast to restore the unemployed youths’ confidence in TNPSC.”
