Only Stalin can handle TN’s debt burden: Duraimurugan 

Interacting with reporters after a meeting of party members on ways to meet the anticipated local body and ensuing state Assembly polls, the Katpadi MLA said, “the AIADMK blamed us when we left the government saying that the Rs 1 lakh crore debt burden we created had made all debtors. But now they have increased it to Rs 4.50 lakh crore which can be handled only when Stalin assumes power.”

When asked about the Rajiv Gandhi assassination convicts release issue and the reaction to the Union government counsel’s stand, Duraimurugan said, “Calling the related resolution passed by the legislative Assembly for their release as zero also amounted to it being a reference to the AIADMK council of Ministers.”

On the smart city projects, Duraimurugan charged that the scheme was full of corruption, as in all places, the schemes were drawn up by officials without consulting the local elected representatives. Similarly, the kudimaramathu scheme was undertaken only to please ruling party men, he added.
