Class 12 Boards held in 392 centres in T’malai, Vellore, Ranipet, Tirupattur
Girls will be outnumbering boys in both the Class 11 and Class 12 examinations, said Tiruvannamalai Collector KS Kandasamy.

While the Class 12 students appeared for their first board exam on Monday, Class 11 candidates would be taking their first examination on Wednesday.
Kandasamy, who inspected the students writing their higher secondary exams at a government school in Kil Pennathur Block, said that police have been deployed in all examination centres and asserted that outsiders have been barred from entering the centre premises during exam hours.
Stating that all electronic equipment were banned in the exam centres, he said,”Nearly 27, 860 students, including 13,241 boys and 14,567 girls wrote their exams in 112 centres in the district which was overseen by a total of 2,338 government officials, including 112 primary observers, 112 education department officials, 219 squads to check exam malpractices, 1,285 class supervisors and 111 subordinate staff.”
Similarly for the Class 11 examinations that would be commencing from Wednesday, nearly 28,132 students including 13, 521 boys and 15, 011 girls would write the exams in 11 centres, he added.
Collector inspects examcentres in Vellore district
Vellore Collector A Shanmuga Sundaram inspected various centres in and around Vellore where a total of 40,531 students, including 103 differently-abled students who wrote their Class 12 examinations on Monday.
The Collector, who was accompanied by CEO S Mars, said that the exams are being held at 171 centres overseen by 2,700 teachers. Also, 250 flying squads had been pressed into service to ensure that there were no malpractices, he added.
Similarly in Ranipet district, Collector S Divyadarshini visited and inspected the schools where the exams were underway accompanied by CEO P Dayalan. A total of 13,258 students wrote the exams in 58 centres in Ranipet district.
Meanwhile in Tirupattur district, Collector MP Sivan Arul inspected 51 exam centres wherein a total of 4,845 students undertook their exams on Monday.
