Snake scare in AC coach delays Alappuzha Express
Passengers of an express train bound for Alappuzha from Chennai were in for shock as a snake was suspected to be present in an AC coach on Monday night.

RANIPET: When the Alappuzha Express entered Ranipet district, passengers in an AC coach saw a snake which resulted in some screaming and finally the railway police being alerted. The latter informed Arakkonam railway station and railway police entered the coach and after offloading the passengers completely searched the coach. But failed to finding any trace of the snake.
However, the passengers bluntly refused to continue travelling in AC coach and they were accommodated in other coaches. The train was delayed by 20 minutes in the resulting commotion and left at 10.45 pm.
