Pvt hospitals told to provide essential service

The Directorate officials said that if any private hospital denies its essential services, their licence will be suspended or cancelled.

It also issued instructions to all the private clinical establishments to provide essential services and to attend chronic illnesses like maintenance dialysis chemotherapy and other neurological supportive care.

The notice stated that denying essential services to the patients is unethical and against the rules of Medical Council of India. Thus, the clinical establishments should not close down their establishments and should offer medical services for their regular clients.
