    DMK president MK Stalin has launched a Statewide multi-format initiative “Ondrinaivom vaa” (Come, let us unite) to reach out to four crore people of the State during the next couple of months.

    Stalin, who interacted with 200 key party members, mostly party MLAs, MPs and district secretaries on video conference on Monday, announced the launch of the initiative and the way he intends to help the State people affected by COVID-19.

    Through the five-point initiative comprising Stalin connect, People’s helpline, Nallor Koodam, Feed the poor and Virtual neighbourhood, the principal Opposition party plans to reach out to four crore ‘citizens’ of the State in the ensuing six to eight weeks.

    Under Stalin connect, the DMK chief would post 15 video messages and participate in like number of online Q&A sessions. Apart from interacting with media on three instances, he would also undertake 15 field visits. Briefing the initiative to his party functionaries, Stalin advised them to contact his office in case they faced any issue in supporting the people in need. Describing “Ondrinaivom Vaa’ as a collective action and coordination of various individual efforts of the party workers, Stalin said, “We will feed the hungry as much as possible,” he added.
