Chengalpet and Kanchipuram districts see a rise in Covid cases
Locals said the number of cases in the districts was rising due to returnees from Chennai.

Both Chengalpet and Kanchipuram districts were seen as a major contributor to the State's count in Corona cases, tailing behind Chennai. But for the past few days, it was reported that Chennai has comparatively less cases while compared to other districts.

Around 154 positive cases were reported in Kanchipuram district, taking the total to 4,245.
Similarly in Chengalpattu district 121 cases were reported today, making it 8,674, so far in the district.
Tamil Nadu recorded 4,526 positive cases on Tuesday evening, taking the total tally to 1,47,324. The state has been recording more than 4000 Covid cases for the past two days.
On the positive note, 4,743 people were discharged yesterday, according to the health department.
