Lokka, who fled to Tamil Nadu from Sri Lanka is said to have made quite a few friends in Coimbatore presumably to set foot in the nefarious activity. Following a search at his rental house in Cheran Maa Nagar, the CB-CID sleuths have seized some incriminating documents with information on his fresh group of network. However, officials remained tightlipped over the seizures.
Sources said that Lokka was in contact with a few persons in Tirupur to exchange loads of foreign currency to Indian currency. “Two others from Coimbatore were found to be in close contact with him, but they had gone hiding following police investigations. A search is on to locate them,” said an official. The special teams have also spread out to hold similar inquiries in Tirupur, Bengaluru and Madurai.
Investigations into the mysterious death have thrown up more questions for the CB-CID sleuths to answer. The first and foremost is to identify if the person who died was Lokka. To know this, the investigation agency has decided to carry out a DNA test. Some other questions, are regarding his contacts. “All these details will emerge once the trio, Amani Dhanji, T Sivagami Sundari and Dyaneshwaran are taken into custody,” said the official.
