TN CM announces extension of shop timings

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami cognizant of the festival rush has extended the shop closure timing from 9 pm to 10 pm.

This decision comes as a part of unlocking the economy of the state.

CM requested not to form crowds while shopping, extension of timings could reduce the crowding.

Kumaran silks in T Nagar was sealed on Tuesday for not adhering to the physical distancing rules and for its clumsy crowd management.

This rule has been extended to vegetable shops and groceries as well.

But, in containment zones status quo will prevail none of these are applicable to those places.
