TN Covid Update: State records 3,086 news cases while 4,301 recovered
While the State continues to see the downward trend in covid 19 cases for the 4th consecutive day, Chennai also saw a deep plunge in new cases, with 845 new cases reported.

The State Health Bulletin released on Wednesday evening, showed some positive sign towards recovery as the state recorded 3,086 new cases. There has been a downtrend in the infection spread across TamilNadu, with reports of new infections falling below 4000, for the past few days.
On the positive side, 4,301 were recovered from COVID-19 taking the tally of recoveries to 6,50,856.
Meanwhile, 39 succumbed to the infection, increasing the fatalities in the State 10,780, as on October 21.
According to the bulletin, around 78,903 samples were tested in laboratories. The State has so far collected 91.93lakh samples.
Chennai recorded 845 news cases with 1,183 discharges.
