“Areas showing a spurt and ensuring containment in clusters such as construction site cluster, family or street cluster or event/function-based clusters or worksite-based clusters should be the basis of focused work by the health and local body teams,” he said. Pointing out that enforcement of masks was extremely poor in public places, he urged Collectors to ensure that meetings with traders’ associations continued to ensure self-regulation in addition to visible action of collecting fines by police, health, revenue and local body officials. He said that the next 14 to 28 days were important in the fight and that focused testing and fever campus should resume in full vigour as was done before the festival holidays.
