As Tamil Nadu along with Puducherry and Andhra Pradesh is buckling up for the cyclonic storm Nivar, TN CM Edappadi Palaniswami announces statewide holiday on Wednesday.
CM Palaniswami was in emergency discussion with ministers on the impending cyclonic storm to check with the government mechanism.
Following the discussion, CM met with the scribes announcing statewide holiday with exception to those in emergency and essential occupations.
He also urged public to stay indoors unless if there is an emergency need to meet.
On Monday, buses were announced to stop its services from Tuesday 1 pm of which the curbs are in force now.
Following this, every train from Chennai to other southern districts is stay put.
