In addition, the RMM has also decided to constitute executive members, comprising senior office-bearers, who will be chalking out poll strategies, including developing a comprehensive election manifesto soon after the party launch.

Actor Rajinikanth last week said that he will launch his political party in January 2021 and the formal announcement with regard to that will be made on December 31. With just a few weeks left for Rajini’s announcement to begin the party, office-bearers of RMM claimed that they are ready to launch the poll campaign.

A senior RMM functionary told DT Next on Tuesday that once he launches the political outfit, there is a need to have a party headquarters to carry out political activities.

Stating that at present RMM is using Raghavendra Mandapam, Rajini owned marriage hall in Kodambakkam for cadre meeting, he said, “We are looking to either rent a place or own building in T Nagar or Anna Salai area, which would be in the heart of the city for the convenience of all.”

He pointed out that the headquarters will have a conference hall, office rooms for senior functionaries and an administration office for office-bearers. “In addition, party office will also be set up in all the district headquarters according to the requirement,” he said adding, “at present, the RMM district secretaries will be assigned to identify space for the party office and also appoint office-bearers.

The RMM cadre also said that after the constitution of the committee comprising senior members, the panel will start working on poll-related activities, including preparing the election manifesto and designing the party’s symbol and flag and also expanding the women’s wing.
