Last week, Superstar Rajinikanth took over the headlines after he announced formally that he will announce the name of his party on December 31, and from January, he will start doing the ground work. With just a few weeks left for Rajini’s announcement to begin the party, his elder brother R Sathyanarayana Rao had paid a visit to Thiruvannamalai temple yesterday.
Rajinikanth is known to have a staunch faith in Thiruvannamalai's Annamalaiyar and Arunagirinathar. Accordingly, his brother Sathyanarayana Rao had paid a visit along with his family, to the Arunagirinathar temple in Ayyankulam. He is reported to have conducted the 'Mrithyunjai Yagam' for the wellness and good health of Rajinikanth and his fans.
Sathyanarayana Rao who later addressed the media said, "Rajinikanth is decisive about the plans of his political party and the members who will be governing it. He will make the announcement in this regard on Dec 31. Even though he divulges all the important decisions to me, I don't interfere in his decisions but rather give all my blessings for his success and wellbeing."
"Its high time that the Dravidian parties gets dethroned from the politics. People have lost faith in them. They are ones who promote Atheism instead of respecting people's different religious beliefs. Humanity is God and due respect has to be given to people of all religion and belief," he said.
When asked about Rajini's stand on the upcoming election, Rao said, "If God willing, Rajini might contest from Thiruvannamalai constituency in his maiden election".
Meanwhile, on the party front, RMM decided to constitute executive members, comprising senior office-bearers, who will be chalking out poll strategies, including developing a comprehensive election manifesto soon after the party launch.
