PM pro-corporate, says Alagiri flaying him for not meeting farmers
TNCC president KS Alagiri on Monday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi does not invite the farmers for talks because he runs a government for corporate honchos like Ambani, Adani.

Likening Modi’s groundbreaking ceremony for the Central Vista project to fiddling Roman emperor Nero, Alagiri referred to the job loss allegedly suffered due to the ‘unplanned’ lockdown and sought to know where was the need to construct a new Parliament complex at a cost of Rs 20,000 crore while the country already has one.
Accusing the Modi regime of making various efforts to belittle Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru, who are pride of the nation in the global arena, the TNCC chief said that the PM was in the process of making Parliamentary complex into an exhibition piece.
Recalling the impact of lockdown on farmers and MSMEs, Alagiri said the BJP-led Centre was rubbing salt in the wounds of the farmers and MSMEs by constructing a new Parliament complex after deceiving them by announcing a sham stimulus package for Rs 20 lakh crore.
“Prime Minister Modi is running an anti-farmer, anti-people government in support of Ambani and Adani. Hence, he lacks the minimum democratic sentiment of inviting agitating farmers braving the biting cold for 19 days for talks,” Alagiri remarked, adding that a few select corporate firms have become richer, while ordinary people continue to struggle in the last nine months.
