During his poll campaign at Sivakasi in Virudhunagar district on Tuesday, Kamal said his party has been facing several hurdles during its political journey, but it will never hinder the party’s growth. Meanwhile, he hinted about Anna University Vice Chancellor MK Surappa’s honesty and charged the state government citing that it was acting against the moves of the Vice Chancellor. Hence, the duty of people in Tamil Nadu is to support MNM to eradicate corruption.
Tamil Nadu would be stable and emerge as a good state only when all forms of corruption were tossed into waste bin. While addressing entrepreneurs at Sivakasi, he said the state government should not ignore the interests of micro, small and medium enterprises and at the same time one should not oppose the emergence of big companies.
Later, Kamal addressed a meeting at Kovilpatti in Thoothukudi district and moved on to Ettayapuram, where he visited the ancestral house of the late legendary Tamil poet ‘Mahakavi’ C Subramania Bharathi. He garlanded the poet’s statue and went through the poet’s works and his contributions to the freedom struggle movement kept on display in the house.
