Superstar Rajinikanth is gearing up the process of the launch of his new political party. Ever since the actor announced his political entry, there has been ongoing speculations on the name of the political party that he might opt for. Since the actor had said that his 'spiritual, honesty, transparency and graft free politics' would be transcending the barriers of caste and religion to provide good governance, it was expected that the actor might carefully opt for a name devoid of the common 'Dravida katchi' to reflect his thoughts of 'Change everything'.

Accordingly, initial reports reveal that the actor has chosen to use an already registered, though unrecognised party name - 'Makkal Sevai Katchi' as the name of his faction.

Even though 'Makkal Sevai Katchi' was initially registered as ' Anaithindhia Makkal Shakthi Kazhagam', it was rechristened a few months ago.

Meanwhile, it was also speculated that the electoral symbol 'Auto Rickshaw' was the symbol allotted to the party earlier, but since Rajinikanth has already launched his fans association flag with a 'Baba' symbol in it and it is already popular among his fans, there are possibilities that Rajini might request EC to allot him the same. It is to re-collected that Rajini also donned the role of Autorikshaw driver in the famous 'Baasha' movie.

Also, it is to be considered that Rajini has announced that he will be contesting in all the constituencies in the forthcoming election, so a common electoral symbol would be allotted, even though his fans prefer the 'Two-finger' baba pose as more resonant and popular.
